The Story of Boonville

Hidden in the hills of Anderson Valley—near the southern border of Mendocino County—sits a small but very storied community.

The town of Boonville was founded in 1862 and thrived as a logging community through the 1950s. As the logging industry faded in the sixties, Boonville’s pioneering spirit lived on as scores of people fled San Francisco and created a thriving counterculture in the rural parts of Mendocino County. From the creation of its own dialect – name “Boontling” - to the Annual Apple Fair and the Sierra Nevada World Festival, the town of Boonville continues to evolve, blending various cultures into a melting pot of food, wine, art and agriculture.

The town of Boonville has always protected its small town feel and local community, both of which are cornerstones to how we operate our farm. We’re honored to be part of Boonville’s rich culture and look forward to sharing that culture with you.
